At Fired & Ground, we believe pottery is about slowing down, getting creative, and making something meaningful by hand. Our Cup & Saucer Workshop is a relaxed, beginner-friendly clay experience where you’ll create your own handcrafted ceramic set from scratch in our warm studio space.

Perfect for anyone wanting to try pottery for the first time, this workshop will guide you through simple hand-building techniques while giving you the freedom to make something uniquely yours.

- Hand-build your own cup and matching saucer

No experience needed — just bring your curiosity, get your hands muddy, and enjoy the process. We’ll guide you every step of the way.

In this 2-hour Cup & Saucer Workshop at Fired & Ground, you’ll spend a relaxed, hands-on session creating your very own matching ceramic set from start to finish.

​

 1 x Handbuilt Cup – using simple slab or pinch techniques, you’ll shape your cup, add a handle, and personalise it with stamps, textures, or carved details.

​

 1 x Matching Saucer – designed and shaped to complement your cup, with guidance on form, balance, and finishing touches.

​

Once your pieces are complete, we’ll glaze and fire everything in-house, bringing your creations to life with a professional finish ready for you to collect and use.

​

All materials, glazing, and firing are included — just bring yourself and enjoy the process.

Do I need experience?

No — beginners are welcome.
 

When do I collect my pieces?

Pieces are glazed and fired after the workshop and are ready in approximately 3–4 weeks. You will receive a notification once completed.
 

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting clay on.
 

Is everything included?

Yes — all materials, glazing, and firing are included.
