Based in Tura Beach, we offer a warm space where people can gather to make, learn, eat, and unwind. From pottery workshops to good coffee and simple moments shared around the table, we believe creativity should be accessible, grounding, and enjoyed together.
Camilla's Story
At Fired and Ground, owner Camilla’s love for ceramics began at just five years old, when she created her very first piece — a small pink pinch pot. From that moment, creativity and clay became a lasting passion. By the age of eight, she was experimenting on the pottery wheel, discovering the excitement of shaping forms by hand and bringing ideas to life.
As her passion grew, Camilla continued studying ceramics throughout her school years, eventually majoring in the subject during senior school. At 21, she travelled to Bondi to spend a term immersed in learning and refining her craft, deepening both her technical skills and artistic style.
Since then, Camilla has travelled the world exploring different ceramic traditions, techniques and forms, drawing inspiration from the people, cultures and creative communities she encountered along the way. These experiences helped shape the vision behind Fired and Ground — a warm and welcoming space where creativity, connection and handmade craftsmanship come together.
